Browser Recommendations & Settings

Let's highlight some aspects of internet browser choice and settings to insure a great experience using Studio Designer.

Browser Recommendations

Studio Designer has been designed to work with the most common, up to date browsers:

  • Google Chrome
  • Firefox
  • Safari

Although we do our best to keep up with browsers, we cannot guarantee 100% functionality at all times due to circumstances beyond our control.  We cannot be responsible for unpredictable results caused by out of date browsers.

Internet Connection Requirements: We recommend a minimum of 1mb download speed.  As with all cloud based applications, performance is heavily influenced by your internet speed.  

Pop up blockers

Allow pop ups from Studio Designer.  If your browser is set to block pop-ups and redirects, permission to allow can be given for the Studio Designer in the browser settings:

Tip:  Perform a quick search for your browsers instructions on how to allow pop-ups for specific websites for your browser.

  • Chrome:
      1. On your computer, open Chrome.
      2. Go to your Studio Designer work screen.
      3. In the address bar, click the Lock symbol to the left of the web address.
      4. Select 'Site Settings' and 'Allow' Pop-ups and redirects.
      5. This will add your Studio Designer website to a list of allow sites.

For Chrome

1. Go to Chrome -> Preferences -> Privacy and security or click here

2. add to site that can always use cookies

For Safari

Go to Setting -> Advanced-> Check 'Show Developer menu in menu bar'. Then on Developer menu check - Allow Unsigned Extensions and Disable Cross-Origin Restrictions. Then you run 'Studio Designer Capture' application and you see extension in the extensions tab in Safari settings

Portable Document Format

Studio Designer will automatically use your default browser settings to view PDF documents.  We recommend setting it to use Adobe Reader so that viewing is quick and easy to print. 

As with pop up blockers, each browser will be different and you can do an internet search for "Set portable document format in xxxxxxxx" where xxxxxx represents your browser.

Clear Browser History

If you are having issues viewing or attaching images using Dropbox, the most common solution is to clear your browser history.

As with pop up blockers, each browser will be different and you can do an internet search for "Clear browser history in xxxxxxxx" where xxxxxx represents your browser.
