Expediting & Tracking
Step 1. Use the date fields in the codes tab of the item. They are organized in the normal order.


Step 2. When an order is acknowledged, they should drop in today's date in the Order acknowledgement date field in the codes tab of that item. That order acknowledgment (usually a PDF from the vendor/showroom) will have a lead time or an est. Ship date.
Step 3. Enter that date in the Est. Ship Date field on the codes tab of that item.
Step 4. When the Vendor sends a shipping notification, enter that date in the Shipped date in the codes tab of the item.
Step 5. When an item is received (at the receiving warehouse or client site, or designer's office), the designer should enter that date in the Received Date field on the codes tab of the item.
Step 6. "Delivered" ultimately be ignored or you can use it as the date of install, if applicable.
Step 7. There is an expediting text field. You can add the Lead Time of an item from their quote (ex 8-10 week) to that field.
Step 8. Once the item is received, type in the exact location of the item. (e.x. Warehouse A, row 7, bin 55).
Step 9. Freight Tracking is for the Tracking # that the vendor provides, if applicable.
