How are foreign currencies handled when processing client payments?
Studio Designer's integrated payment partner, Stripe, grants clients the ability to make payments in their preferred currency. This is made possible through automated currency conversion.
While clients are able to make payments in most currencies, the payment is processed in USD only; foreign payment processing is not currently supported.
This means that, even if a designer's Stripe account is set up to accept foreign currencies and a client makes a payment in that currency, Stripe will process the transaction in USD and then convert it into the foreign currency.
By accepting a payment in a non-USD currency, the designer accepts responsibility for any additional fees incurred as a result of the currency conversion process.
