      Journals - Setting up your general ledger

      'Journals' within the settings menu is where you set up general ledger journals.

      Studio Designer has 6 journals already entered.

      • Adjustments
      • Beginning Balance
      • Cash Disbursements
      • Cash Receipts
      • Purchases
      • Sales

      These Journals will appear in the drop down field when making Journal Entries.  You can use these journals or add more at any time to meet your needs.

      Journals already entered in Studio Designer are marked required and cannot be deleted with the exception of Beginning Balance.

      To add more:

      1. Select 'Settings'
      2. Select 'Journals'
      3. Select '+ New Journal'
      4. Enter the name of the journal.
      5. Save.
