We want to make the most of your time when screen sharing. This guide will help to get you familiar with Zoom and the controls.
Screensharing with Zoom
Before you can start sharing your screen, you will need to click on the link our team will send you. It should look something like this.
Clicking that link should bring up a prompt that will ask you to Open the Zoom Meeting". Select that option and you will be brought into the meeting.
Note: Audio might take a second or two to connect, but should do it automatically using what you have set to your default.
There are 2 main controls you will be using
- Mic (for Audio)
- Share Screen
The mic button essentially mutes and unmutes your audio input signal. by clicking the little arrow next to the mic, it will allow you to adjust the input and output source. 9 out of 10 audio issues can be resolved in this menu.
The Share Screen button (green button in the middle at the bottom) will allow you to select what you want to share on your screen. This could be a region of your screen, just your browser window, or your entire screen
Once you have your selection highlighted in blue, click the blue Share button to showcase your screen for the rest of the attendees in the meeting.
