Sharing Documents With Your Clients

This help article will help walk you through sharing different documents like proposals, invoices, and orders with your clients and vendors.

There are 3 different ways you can share documents with your client.

Client Portal (Recommended)

When you select this option, this will provide a static copy of the invoice or proposal in the portal for the user to view and/or approve. This provides maximum transparency for a client-facing perspective.

Check off the box below the document you wish to share will be visible to your client via the portal.

As long as you have invited your client to the portal and they register their user credentials then they will be able to access this feature. This makes it a breeze for your clients to approve, reject, and pay directly through the portal. Click here to learn more about the Client Portal.

The Share Proposal page will essentially be the email template setup. Select the "From" from the drop-down list of Employee Profiles you have created. The client's email should automatically populate in the "to" field. Feel free to edit or amend the subject line and/or the Message fields.

"Copy Me" is also an option you can use to CC yourself on this communication if you aren't already in the From field. TO learn more on when to use this, check out our article on Copy Me and Sent Document Defaults.

Click "Send" and the Studio Designer will send off the notification and link to view the document

Note: Only documents viewable in the Client Portal are Invoices and Proposals.

Interactive Documents

When you select this option, this will provide a static copy of the invoice or proposal as an interactive proposal for the user to view and/or approve. This provides maximum transparency for a client-facing perspective.

Check off the box below the document you wish to share will be visible to your client.

Like the Client Portal option, the Share Proposal page will essentially be the email template setup. Select the sender from the "From the drop-down list of Employee Profiles you have created. The client's email should automatically populate in the "to" field. Feel free to edit or amend the subject line and/or the Message fields.

Click "Send" and the Studio Designer will send off the notification and link to view the document

Email a PDF
