FAQs
Can I sign up for an annual subscription at any time?
Yes; monthly users can swap over to an annual billing cycle at any point. Please note that this license change cannot be reverted until the renewal date at the end of the twelve month cycle.
How do I sign up for an annual subscription?
Your account admin will need to select "annual billing" within the Billing section in your account.
When I sign up for an annual subscription, when will my credit card be charged?
You will be charged for the full year once you click Sign Up.
If I sign up for an annual subscription, does it mean every user has an annual subscription?
Yes; when your account administrator selects Annual Billing, every user on your account will be on an annual billing cycle.
Can I switch from an annual subscription to a monthly subscription?
Yes, but only when your annual billing cycle is complete. Please request the switch from annual to monthly at least 7 days prior to your annual billing date by reaching out to Support.
Can I cancel an annual subscription at any time?
You can deactivate an account with a paid subscription, but you will not be credited for unused time on your subscription.
If my account is on an annual subscription, how do I remove a user from my account?
Please contact Support. Please note that the user license will remain active until your current annual billing cycle ends. You will not receive a credit for canceling a user partially through an annual subscription.
If my account is on an annual subscription, and one of my employees leaves the firm, can I reassign the user license?
Yes, this is possible. Please contact Support to help.
If I have an annual subscription, how do I add a user to my account?
Head into Settings > Add/Remove Users within your account. For further instructions, read this article.
If I have an annual subscription and I add a user to my account, how will I pay for that user?
You will be charged a prorated amount for the new user. For instance, if your subscription start date is January 1, and you add a user on July 1, you will be charged 50% of the amount of an annual subscription for the relevant license type.
If my account is on an annual subscription, how can I upgrade a user's license (from Basic to Professional, or from Time Billing to Basic or Professional)?
To change your user license type, please contact Support. You will be charged a prorated amount for the cost difference between license types.
If my account is on an annual subscription, how can I downgrade a user's license (from Professional to Basic or Time Billing, or from Basic to Time Billing)?
Please contact Support to downgrade a user's license. You will not receive a credit for downgrading a user partially through an annual subscription cycle.
If I created an account before December 31, 2022, how will I be charged for new users added to my account after January 1, 2023?
For any new users added after January 1, 2023, your account will be charged based on 2023 prices.
If I sign up for Studio Designer before December 31, 2022, and I switch from a monthly to annual subscription in May, for how long will I be able to enjoy 2022 pricing?
If you switch to an annual subscription after January 1, 2023, you will be charged based on 2023 pricing (but remember, with an annual subscription, you still save!)
How will prices for Accountant licenses change?
If your accountant signs up for an annual subscription before December 31, 2022, the accountant license will be $34/user through December 2022. As of January 1, 2023, accountant licenses will cost $38/user.
What is a Time Billing license?
Time Billing is a more limited license type that just gives users the ability to access activities, time billing, and the calendar function. Some of our customers have told us that certain team members only need to access Studio Designer to enter time, so we created this Time Billing license. Does my annual subscription auto-renew each year?
Yes, your annual subscription will be auto-renewed on the day you signed up each year. To cancel the auto-renew, please contact Support.
